Crackle Square Gilded Cane
Tutorial by Pamela Gilfillen
Part 2 of 2
14) Cut the foil covered strip into 10
equal pieces. Making them the same
length as your layered slab.
13) cover the scrap strip with gold
or silver leaf. I used Silver.
15) Cover credit card w/ parchment paper.
Using this  as the "blade" cut through the
center of  the slab you made earlier.
16) Make 2 cuts on either side of the
center cut so that you have 5 equally
spaced cuts.
18) Place a piece of the foil covered strip
into each of the cuts. Making the foil
sides face same direction
17) This shows all 5 cuts.
19 & 20) Pictures showing the stacking process.
21) Press the slab back together.
22) Take your parchment covered "blade
and turn the slab 90 degrees and make 5
more cuts through the slab.
23) Place remaining foil covered pieces into
these cuts. Making the foil face same direction.
24) Press the slab back together.
26) Trim the ends and admire
your work.
25) Reduce using the tile or acrylic pane.
Here is the finished cane.
